Firstly, the paper compared the wind data observed by the airda3000 boundary layer wind profile radar and by the L-band radar,which can verify the usibility of the wind profiler's wind data.Secondly, by the use of the high resolution wind data of the Airda-3000 boundary wind profiler which locates at Baolian,Fangshan and Tongxian in Beijing,the heavy rainfall process occurred on 3 August 2005 in Beijing was analyzed in deail,the mechanism of the mesoscale and microscale convective system was also analyzed.The application of the wind data gained from the wind profiler in analyzing the strong rain which appeared in Autumn Beijng has been studied.Results show that:the mechanism and characteristic of evolvement of mesoscale and microscle convective system can be catched by continuously analyzing the wind data observed by 3 windprofiler.The Three-Dimensional Variational data assimilation (3D-VAR) of wind data observed by the windprofiler has been employed based on the Weather and Rsearch Forecasting model (WRF) for the strong rainfall on 3 August 2005 in Beijing.The experiment has divided into NO3DVAR and 3DVAR .Four different 3DVAR experiment has been designed and we can draw the following primary conclusions:1,Difference of circulation situation predited by model appeared on the levels of 925hpa and 850hpa by the comparison between the NO3DVAR and 3DVAR experiment.2,Assimulation of two minute wind profiler's data has positive impact on the forecasting of rainfall.3,Adopting the sparseness experiment has negative impact on the forecasting of rainfall. 4,The integration of model can bring the impact of assimulatin of wind profiler's from low levels to high levels and spread to wider range.Assimulations of wind profiler's data have obvious change to the wind field,height field and humidity field, but have little impact on the temperature field.
