In this study, the chromosome karyotype of several wild fish includingAcrossocheillus iridescens, Erythroculter ilishaeformis, Ctenopharyngodonidellus(Cuvier& Valenciennes), Hemicculter Leuciclus(Basilewaky) in Guizhou wereinvestigated by means of obtaining chromosome specimens from metaphase ofkidneycell by vivo-injection of PHA and Colohicine, hypatoic-air drying and Giemsastaining, respectively. The results were as follows:1. The diploid chromosome number of Acrossocheillus iridescens was 2n=50, and itskaryotype fomular was 14m+16sm+10st+10t, NF=80.2. The diploid chromosome number of Erythroculter ilishaeformis was 2n=48, andits karyotype fomular was 16m+26sm+6st, NF=90.3. The diploid chromosome number of Ctenopharyngodon idellus (Cuvier&Valenciennes) was 2n=48, and its karyotype fomular was18m+22sm+8st, NF=88.4. The diploid chromosome number of HeraicculterLeuciclus (Basilewaky) was 2n=48,and its karyotypefomular was 16m+22sm+6st6, NF=90.The esterase isozymes in liver and kidney of Guizhou Pelteo bagrus fulvdrace(Richardson),Ameiurus nebulosus,Ctenopharyngodon idellus(Cuvier&Valenciennes),Carassius auratus and Erythroculter ilishaeformis were analyzed bymeans of Vertical polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The results indicated that: Theliver and kidney tissue EST of these five fish showed obvious tissue specificity. Theresults of classification of enzymes for the characters, joint coefficient calculation, and the average class cluster analysis were consistent with the traditionalmorphological classification. The results of the investigation will provide valuablegenetic and biochemical fundamental data for the genetic diversity analysis, thefurther studies and development of Guizhou fish.
