Studies on the EST Isozymes from some species of Arctiidea and Ge-ometridae.Isozymes are controled by hereditary materal DNA. They carry theimportant information of specific hereditary and variation accumlated inthe long evolution process. In this paper, the EST isozymes of 29 species in families of Arctiidaeand Geometridae which were collected from Shaaxi have been studed bydiscontiunous polyacryiamide gel electrophoresis method and staining tech-nique. The numbe of enzymeband, mobility dye intensity have been anal-ysed. The result show as followZymograms of EST isozmes among individual of a species exhibit lessdifferences and more stable common featrue. Between individuals of differ-ent sexs, EST Zymograms exist difference more than that of one sex. Inaddition, the females have higher activity isozymes band. The head - tho-rax and abdomal study show similar isozmes bards but abdomals havehigher activity. The individual of difference species in a genara show.some common featrues but there are distinct difference and this differencemore than that of one species. Therefore We can conclude that ESTisozymes posses important and reliable taxonomic value at lower cate-gories.
