GPS for navigation and geodesy, and other disciplines bring a revolutionary change. It has speed, all-weather, and a high degree of automation, no visibility , for simultaneous determination of the three-dimensional displacement point advantages. With GPS technology in rapid development, automation and precision of GPS deformation monitoring has been made possible, at present, has been widely used in various forms of deformation monitoring, and this deformation analysis of the theory put forward higher requirements. GPS deformation monitoring, horizontal displacement of the monitoring accuracy has been able to meet all kinds of precision engineering deformation monitoring needs, however, Vertical displacement of the monitoring accuracy still unsatisfactory, Thereby limiting the vertical displacement of the GPS monitoring applications.This paper first describes the GPS deformation monitoring study how to improve the accuracy of the vertical displacement of practical significance, Second, the analysis in recent years, GPS monitoring of the vertical displacement of the study, In this paper, and for the deformation monitoring has to work on the issue. These mainly include : (1) how to eliminate or reduce the GPS system error and accidental errors; (2) how to improve GPS accuracy high observation; (3) how to use a reasonable method so that the datum can reflect actual situation of vertical displacement in the two adjacent monitoring periods. Purpose is to upgrade the use of GPS deformation monitoring vertical displacement accuracy.Meanwhile, the paper also on GPS monitoring deformation in the benchmark design, graphic design strength of the structure, design observation period, design the period of monitoring and a multi-antenna technology to make further exploration.
