Chinese Giant Salamander is tail amphibian that disturb only in China.Chinese Giant Salamander is the biggest and the longest life amphibian in actual existence. So it is referred to as live fossil.Characteristics of selecting den for Chinese Giant Salamander in bionical captive training and breeding model were analyzed,in order to find out the relationships between reproduction and development of Chinese Giant Salamander and environment.Daily activity rhythm of Chinese Giant Salamander in the reproductive season, seasonal changes in nocturnal activity of Chinese Giant salamander and reproduction behavior were investigated in bionical captive training and breeding model by observation and interview,in order to find out whether bionical captive training and breeding model adapt to development of Chinese Giant Salamander. The aims of these studied were to enrich content of ecology and behavior, provide some basic datum for the study of reproductive biology of Chinese Giant Salamander, and provide some evidence for conservation of Chinese Giant Salamander. The investigation gets the following conclusions.1.Altitude,den high and width, and distance between water surface and upper wall of den ect nine ecological factors were analyzed by principal component analysis. The main factors to select the breeding den for Chinese Giant Salamander were altitude,pH,composition of the river bed and distance between water surface and upper wall of den.According other date published, this thesis considers that altitude,pH were the main factors.2.Chinese Giant Salamander liked choosing these dens as breeding dens that were near sound of water. The ratio is 79.3%.The number of these dens was obviously more than the number of these dens that were far water sound.3.Chinese Giant Salamander liked choosing these dens as breeding dens that have long cave neck.4.In the reproductive season, activity of Chinese Giant Salamander varied for diurnal rhythm. Chinese Giant Salamander hided in the den in day.Chinese Giant Salamander move out of den from 20:30.Peak of activity was from 21:00 to 1:00.After 1:00,the Chinese Giant Salamander began to go back den gradually. After 3:00,Chinese Giant Salamander can't be seen in the rivulet.5.Nocturnal activity of Chinese Giant Salamander varied with season.Chinese Giant Salamander begun to move in April. The number of Chinese Giant Salamander is the most in August and September. After middle of December,Chinese Giant Salamander entered the stage of hibernation.6.Sexual mature Chinese Giant Salamanders had behavior of reproduction in the reproduction season.①behavior of pushing,Behavior of pushing sand was observed from middle of June to end of August(before reproduction). The behavior was observed generally from end of July to first of August.②behavior of courtship,Male and female Chinese Giant Salamanders crawled in the rivulet head to head, shoulder to shoulder, male Chinese Giant Salamanders crawled following female Chinese Giant Salamanders.Male and female Chinese Giant Salamanders bite each other.Male Chinese Giant Salamanders bended back of female Chinese Giant Salamanders.③behavior of protecting egg,Male Chinese Giant Salamanders protect egg and young Chinese Giant Salamanders during hatch and development of young Chinese Giant Salamanders.④behavior of washing.7.There were young Chinese Giant Salamanders of different development phases in the same den.Mating system of Chinese Giant Salamanders were monogamy and polyamdry.
