Preliminary Study Of Aquatic Insects Parasitic Gross Bacteria Classification

The Class Trichomycetes is placed in the Zygomycota,among the lower fungi.In the aggregate, longer thalli may make the inside of the gut look fuzzy or hairy,hence the name trichomycetes("hair fungi").Fungi belonging to the class Trichomycetes lie hidden within the digestive tract of several types of insects and other arthropods.They are not capable of growing,metabolizing,or reproducing in the natural environment other than in association with their living hosts.As presently known,their distribution ranges from north of the Arctic Circle to south of the Tropic of Capricorn and from deep sea level to mountain altitudes as high as the larval stages of some insects are capable of development.Classification,morphological characteristics,historical resume and application of trichomycetes are introduced in the paper,and the methods of collection and specimen handling.In the systematic account 35 species known to China belonging to 16 genera of 6 families of 4 orders are described in detail and figured.Of them,6 species are new to science:Legeriomyces grandis J.Wang,Strongman & S.Q.Xu,sp.nov.;Legeriosimilis elegans Strongman,J.Wang & S.Q. Xu,sp.nov.;Paramoebidium bacillare Strongman,J.Wang & S.Q.Xu,sp.nov.;Sinotrichium chironomidarum J.Wang,S.Q.Xu & Strongman,sp.nov.;Smittium shaanxiense J.Wang, Strongman & S.Q.Xu,sp.Nov.;Stachylina tianshanensis J.Wang,S.Q.Xu & Strongman,sp.nov.; 15 species are newly recorded from China:Harpella leptosa Lichtwardt & Moss,1980,Stachylina gravicaudata Siri,White & Lichtwardt,2006;Stachylina prolifica Lichtwardt,Kobayasi & Indoh, 1988(1987);Caudomyces longicollis Strongman,2007;Gauthieromyces indicus Misra & Tiwari, 2008;Genistelloides communis White & Lichtwardt,2004;Glotzia ephemeridarum Lichtwardt,1972; Graminella.bulbosa Leger & Gauthier ex Manier,1962;Legeriomyces ramosus Pouzar,1972; Orphella catalaunica Santamaria & Girbal,1998;Orphella haysii Lichtwardt & Williams,1987; Smittium culicis Manier,1970;Smittium fruticosum Williams & Lichtwardt,1992;Smittium rupestre Lichtwardt,1990;Smittium tronadorium Lichtwardt,Ferrington & Lopez Lastra,1999.All the specimen were deposited in the herbarium,College of Life Science,Shaanxi Normal University.
