Rock slope stability analysis is an important task in geotechnical engineering. In our country, especially the Three Gorges Project and the western development, there have been a number of rock slope engineering, such as the high slope of the Three Gorges ship lock, chain Cliff dangerous rocks as a result of migrant relocation, land, urban construction land, the formation of hydropower construction rock slope, etc, in order to reduce and prevent all forms of rock slope accidents, there is a need to strengthen this kind of slope stability analysis of the research work.With the urban construction and land development,building surroundings Slope -City rock slope in the mountains in the growing number of urban construction. Urban rock slope, while small, but with the surrounding environment, human activities close ties, it will directly affect the city of the main project feasibility study, and the normal use of economic indicators. At present, for some cities the failure mechanism of rock slope was less than understanding the one hand, the design is too conservative, resulting slope engineering cost is too high, far from the economy; the other hand, frequent occurrence of slope instability of an accident, endangering people's lives and property, to the country brought great losses. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the urban rock slope stability and control. In this paper, a more complete structure of the non-structural surface outside the city dump rock slope as the research object, focusing on urban rock slope stability analysis and control problem in-depth study, and obtained some interesting research results, and to be in the practical engineering application, has achieved remarkable economic and social benefits. The main thesis work:(1) using on-site investigation and numerical simulation of a combination of methods, non-structural surface outside the city dump the overall stability of rock slope analysis and evaluation; in identifying the overall stability of the slope, using variable stiffness iterative method , analysis and evaluation of local slope stability; study of non-structural surface outside the city dump rock slope failure mechanism and to explore its stability calculation model.(2) by analyzing the slope of the traditional design of retaining structures is not conducive to effective control of the final slope stability reasons, the proposed city Rock Slope Stability, "the whole process of dynamic control" concept, described the city's rock slope the stability of the whole process of the basic theory of dynamic control and three-dimensional control system composition.
