At present, China's gas field expoitation ability and level are constantly improving. At the same time, the difficulty of the exploitation is also growing. Edge water. or bottom water always exist in the gas reservoirs of southern Sichuan area, and the water is relatively active in the local area, greatly impacting on the exploitation of the gas reservoirs. When the gas well production go into the mid and late satge, the water production will increase highly, which greatly limits the productivity of the gas wells, causing the time shrikage of the stable production. If timely remediation and control are lacked, it will inevitably lead to the decrease of the ultimate gas reservoir recovery and the overall development effectiveness. Water drainage and gas production by is an effective solution of the wellbore liquid loading problem and enhancement of gas reservoir recovery. Therefore, the reasearch of water drainage and gas production has realistic significance.Based on the study of the domestic and overseas technology of water drainage gas recovery, this paper researched the technical characreristics and the compatibility of the mostly used water drainage gas recovery technologies, including foam drainage, gas lifting, preferred pipe string, motor pumping, electric pump, jet pumpting, etc; and it pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of each technology, also including their applying conditions. It selected the optimum Liming model after analyzing the predictive models of wellbore liquid loading; Optimized the parameters and the design of the water drainage gas recovery technology; Carried on the experimental research on the foam height and the foam sability of the foaming agent, optimized the better foaming agent and put it into practical production; Made comparative analysis of the foam drainage gas recovery effects, and obtained good results. The research results are of great guiding significance in gas well effective development, water drainage and gas recovery.
