Applicable To Cdm Project Of The Yunnan Region And Its Methodology Study

Some developed countries are obligated to reduce carbon pollution, so as to deal with global warming and establish a comfortable living environment for human beings. Then the developed countries propound Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects. Under CDM, the developed countries can purchase some quantity of carbon pollution so that they can accomplish the obligated task. Hence, based on CDM, tradable pollution gets its development all over the word.The thesis introduces the development and achievement of CDM, the new mechanism, in China. For a CDM project, besides being congruous with requests, the most important requirement in operation is that the methodologies of the project should be standard, practical, and acceptable. That is to say the project should be accepted by CDM Executive Board (EB) in United Nations Frame of Climate Changing. Through description of CDM, the thesis details contents and operation of CDM's as well as requirements, criterions and processes of conducting projects under CDM. And the thesis works efficiently as a reference in developing CDMC.A great potential in Yunnan has been found out to develop CDM projects. CDM projects conducted in Yunnan, should, firstly, be congruous with the district, economic and even culture environment; secondly, be congruent with projects methodologies accepted by EB. Therefore, the thesis chooses hydroelectricity, industry and biomass energy as examples to analyze the abilities, advantages and disadvantages of these industries to develop CDM projects in Yunnan. Moreover, through AHP, the thesis concludes the right industries which are suitable for conducting CDM projects in Yunnan. Besides, the thesis analyzes some methodologies which can be used in CDM projects. According to sources, development, and scope of application of these methodologies, the thesis clarifies applications of the methodologies, and studies their practicability in Yunnan. At last based on abilities of these industries, the thesis figures out the very methodologies, which act well in Yunnan to conduct CDM projects.Originally, the thesis combines the two most important facts, i.e. specials of areas which can conduct CDM projects in Yunnan, and methodologies used in projects designing, to study current situations and problems in conducting CDM projects in Yunnan. The thesis also analyzes adaptability and practicability of methodologies used by some industries which actualize CDM projects in Yunnan. Besides, the thesis puts forward directions of developing CDM projects, acting as references for actualizing CDM projects in Yunnan so as to work side by side with developed countries to deal with international society's requirements of developing environment.
