With the constant development of Chinese economy and people's awareness of environmental protection, sewage treatment has been brought up on the agenda.So as the necessary infrastructure, urban sewage treatment plant must be coordinated is modern city.Due to the complex sewage treatment process,the numerous electrical and mechanical equipments, the high requirements of running debugging,specially the pivotal training and management of activated sludge in the activated sludge treatment process,debugging process is related to the normal operation of a sewage treatment plant and its benefits.This paper takes the Zao Zhuang Sewage Factory three-ditch type oxidation ditch as example and studies the debugging in the sewage plant. Activated sludge debugging is the most important and the most crucial step.According to the actual situation of regional water quantity and water quality and experiences, the process of full load continuous culture of bacteria was applied, after one month, the water qaulity satisfied the water design requirements.After debugging process, all struetures and equipment were operated stably and the effluent reached Grade-B of GB18918-2002.According to the actual debugging problems, commissioning and operation mode of three channel-type process were investigated from the theory and practice aspects and then rationalization proposals about the process of commissioning problems were introduced.Finally, the wastewater treatment plant cost and benefits analyses were conducted which could provide some advice for the operation and management of the newly-built sewage treatment plant.In recent years,,sewage treatment plants have carried out more stringent emission standards, Zaozhuang wastewater treatment plant can not meet the A-level standard of GB18918-2002, so it is necessary to upgrade the original process. Transformation is not to add new structures and buildings on the basis of the fast, effective,the principles of investments. After transformation, TN, TP of the effluent will be greatly reduced in order to achieve the A-level standard of GB18918-2002 and the requirements of DB37/599-2006 in Shandong Province.
