The phase equilibrium investigations of the alkali metal salts in mixed solvents can not only generate a purified method, but also provide basic data to develop their solution chemistry. This paper mainly includes three parts:preface section, experimental section, and results and discussion. In the preface section, we introduce the significance of phase equilibrium for alkali metal salts, and the investigation of alkali metal salts-water systems, alkali metal salts-alcohol-water systems and alkali metal salts-ionic liquids-water systems and other alcohol system. In the experimental section, we introduce the preparation method of saturated and unsaturated solution, also introduce the main experiments and the corresponding anslysis methods, such as the determination of tie-lines, binodal curves, also study the analysis method of density and refractive index. The results and discussion section have discussed ternary systems systems:(1) draw standard curve of density and refractive index, calculations for equation, solubilities, densities, and refractive indices have been measured for the ternary system of Polyethylene Glycol 400+RbCl/CsCl+H2O at 15℃,25℃and 35℃, we have fitted these experiment data, we study the density and refractive index of the unsaturated system at different temperatures (2) with the increase of polyethylene glycol molecular weight, Stratification occurred on the system, we study the binodal curve and the tie-line at 15℃,25℃, discussed the impact on the equilibriumte on mperature and molecular weight of polyethylene glycol, we have fitted the bimodal data using five-parameter equation, moreover, the modified Eisen-Joffe equation was used to correlate the tie-lies data. the parameters of these two equation as well as the standard deviations have been given, wich show that our experimental results are satisfactory. we also finished the phase diagram of the system in this study. At last, we made an explanation for the mechanism the liquid-liquid equilibrium.
