| Hard-cutting materials are used more widely in recent years. Because of its poor machinability, the use of a variety of cutting fluid is also more widely. However, the environmental pollution and health hazards are also more and more serious. In order to achieve sustainable development of society, the manufacturing sector must take the road of green manufacturing. In this article, using liquid nitrogen instead of cutting fluid method of Cryogenic cutting is a kind of green manufacturing technology.This paper analysis the characteristics of Hard-cutting materials and cutting rules, introduces Cryogenic cutting technology, analysis of low-temperature conditions on the mechanism of cutting process. This article conducted cryogenic cutting and dry cutting contrast experiment on 45CrNiMoVA high strength steel which is Hard-cutting material. The issue is by changing the time and cutting the amount of cryogenic cutting and dry cutting temperature experiments to study the changes of tool wear; Arranged in two orthogonal cutting conditions experiments, studied three elements of the cutting and low-temperature environment impacted on the surface roughness; and carried out the optimization of cutting parameters. Arranged with a single factor cutting forces, measured cutting force related data, observed data analysis the impact of cryogenic cutting on the cutting force.Experimental results showed that cryogenic cutting can decrease cutting force, improve the quality of machined surface, reduce the tool wear and improve chip-breaking. Cryogenic cutting technology is a kind of modern manufacture technology, and it can effectively improve the machinability of hard-cutting materials. |
