During the heating process in reheating furnace, hot rolled slab will produce largeamounts of iron oxide on the surface. When the slab strip make the further moldingprocessing, these iron oxide will have a harmful effect on the mechanical properities, etc;In the process of heating, the edge of slab heating up, the heart of slab warming slowly,will lead to produce temperature difference of edge and the core. In the introduction, fastcooling of edge, core cooling slowly, make the core and edge to produce temperaturedifference. This could lead hot tolled slab deformation uneven in the subsequent rollingprocess. So to solve this problem in the steel industry is an urgent technical issue.First, through the hot-rolled strip steel surface oxide scale study, understand itscomposition, microstructure, morphology etc. Research shows that the furnace rollers andslabs are on the oxide scale stratification, furnace rolls layered oxide scale, this outerlayer is Fe3O4, FeO and a few inner Fe2O3. From outside to inside, organizations areincreasingly loose, porous. Layered oxide scale on steel slab probably as the two maincomponents are: the exposed Fe3O4, FeO, near the substrate Fe2O3. Furnace roll the outerstructure than the iron oxide scale structure is more compact, and inner layer of loose,porous structure, there is a gap, its furnace roller gap is more smaller, but more holes.Second through finite element simulation of coating on the slab surface temperatureeffects, results show that the billet heating furnace heating process, the surfacetemperature changes over time, the Center temperature changes slowly over time. Addinga coating of slab surface temperature change and the heart is basically the same.Finally, whether it is correct that could use an experimental study of finite elementsimulation. The slab of paint coating and without painting make the core heat slowly,edge heating quickly in the heating process; In the cooling process and reheating, thepaint slab temperature of edge and side make the same phenomenon in the process ofheating and cooling, especially in the process of cooling, the effect is more obvious.
