| Mining is a process of consuming large amount of energy. The energy consumed inthe process of main mining is largely concentrated in drilling, blasting and transportationwhile in the process of mineral selection is concentrated in ore-crushing and grinding.The processes of mining and mineral selection in traditional open pit mines are operatedindependently with separated accounting and consumption controlling systems. Thecombined energy consumption for these open pit mines cannot be the minimum for thesize of the blasted ore would directly influence the energy consumption of the followingprocess. It is a key technological problem for open pit mines to balance the energyconsumption in each processing links to achieve the optimal energy consumption plan.Taking the energy consumption in the process of drilling and blasting in open pitmines as the research subject, with the methods of site investigation, numericalsimulation and theoretical analysis, the laws of relations between energy consumption ofdrilling, blasting and the size of ore in blasting are revealed.Drilling depth, drilling efficiency, borehole diameter and rock property and theregulation of rock quality’s influence on the distribution of energy consumption areresearched. The conclusions are: the relation between the linear meter powerconsumption of rotary drills and drilling depth, drilling rocks consistence is presented aslinear relation and as curve efficiency relationship between drilling rate. Different rockdrill has its optimum drilling rate. Different apertures of rock drill drilling have differentlinear meter power consumption. The linear meter power consumption of small diameterhole drilling is significantly lower while for the blasting power consumption to blast unitamount of rock, the energy consumption of large diameter hole drilling is far less than thesmall aperture drilling energy consumptionWith fractal theory it analyzes the laws of blasting energy consumption and theblasting fragmentation. The blasting fragmentation fractal structure and energyconsumption were studied based on blasting and rock mass structure. The blastingfragmentation fractal dimension model was proposed.According to the distributing laws between energy consumption of borehole blastingand the blasting fragmentation, the hole blasting technique based on the blasting energyconsumption control, charging-interval blasting technology and the open refinementtechnology have been carried on the preliminary study, and the optimization scheme has also been put forward. |
