The equipment of pumping multi-unit got rid of the mining model of single engine and single pumping unit.One driving device with multi-unit extracting oil at the same time was realized by the combination of wire rope and pulley,problems like low effiency and high energy consuming were sloved to meet the most needs of cluster wells of oil production.Wire rope is the key power transmission component of the equipment. Due to its difficulty to judge service condition and service life timely and accurately,which has seriously limited its further promotion in the oilfield.Hereby this paper has carried out mechanical performance research of wire rope of the equipment. The main contents were as follows:(1)On the basis of the equipment of pumping multi-unit design scheme,the face to face crank slider pumping multi-unit equpment was selected.Kinematic characteristics of face to face slider crank mechanism was studied to gain the suspension point displacement, suspension point velocity and suspension point acceleration changes of rule with time.The dynamic model of the component was established, thus components of the reaction force of the kinematic pair, the rod load and other factors were analyzed,which provided external incentive for the analysis of mechanical properties of wire rope.(2)Index system of wire rope selection was built based on fuzzy multi-objective decision-making, type of wire rope of face to face crank slider pumping multi-unit equpment was evaluated. Wire rope of diameter was calculated according to rod load. Supporting device was designed according to the rope diameter, which provieded theoretical basis for life prediction of wire rope.(3)Combined with load type of wire rope of pumping multi-unit equipment, mechanical model of tensile and bent of strand of wire was established, changes of stress-strain of wire rope was researched based on mechanical model.(4)The selected structure parameters of the wire rope was chosen as the sample, Auto CAD software was used to build wire rope model, and FEA model of ANSYS based on ANSYS Workbench software, rules of stress-strain of wire rope and wire was studied under action of the pulling force to verify the accuracy of numerical simulation.(5)Factors of bending fatigue life of wire rope was dicussed, influence law of rope wheel diameter ratio, nominal strength and tension ration was analyzed on fatigue life.Fatigue life of the wire rope was estimated according to the external excitation,the supporting device and the basic parameters of wire rope Based on Miner criterion, meanwhile the test was done to assess the correctness of the cumulative fatigue damage hypothesis in wire rope life estimation applications, which provided exchange guidance for pumping multi-unit equipment.
