In the production chain of apparel fabrics, leather products, cartons and other flexible materials products, the cutting equipment is the core part. CNC cutting system as the core technology of cutting equipment, is moving towards the open, high-performance, integration, flexibility. Embedded CNC cutting systems compared with conventional CNC cutting system with cost-effective, high stability, reliability, flexibility, scalability and other advantages, is one of the development trend of cutting equipment. This paper aims to design and develop a high-performance embedded CNC cutting system with independent intellectual property rights, and realization of processing and production of flexible materials, break the monopoly of import equipment in the domestic high-end market.First, this paper analyzes the flexible material CNC cutting equipment and research status and development trend of OMAPL-L138 processor, and compare multicore embedded CNC cutting system and the traditional cutting systems, demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of the design and development of multi-core embedded CNC cutting systems. Then according to the design requirements of the CNC cutting system, analyze four mainstream embedded numerical control system solutions, ultimately determine "OMAP-L138+FPGA" three core dual-processor architecture for the control system, decided the method of communication between ARM and DSP with DSPLINK, using EMIF bus for bus connection between DSP and FPGA.The main content of this article is based on "OMAP-L138+FPGA" system architecture, decides overall program with the OMAP-L138 chip as a host computer, FPGA chip as an extension of the software interface, develops CNC System control software.And ARM chip in OMAP-L138 processor ported open source Linux kernel, UBIFS file systems and control applications, to achieve a system transaction management, task scheduling, pre-treatment of HPGL and G-code; DSP chip in OMAP-L138 processors main calculate control algorithm to ensure real-time performance of systems. In the paper, according to the design requirements of CNC cutting system software, propose a total solution to software system,with running the Linux operating system in the ARM, running DSP/BIOS real-time operating system in the DSP, through the DSPLINK communication mechanism to interact data between ARM and DSP. The same time, the paper completes detailed design and implementation of system control software, including control codes pre-processing module, OpenGL graphic display module, file resource management module and network communication module.Finally, on the leather cutting machine CNC,set up cutting system electrical control cabinet, and then cut leather by controlling the actual code files.From a practical point of view the processing results, the indicators meet the design requirements, verificate the feasibility and processing capabilities of economy multicore embedded CNC system developed in this paper.
