Comparison Of Small Punch Creep Test And Tensile Creep Test Research

The small pun creep test is one of the micro-sample testes.Because of non-destructively and convenient sampling,it was wildly used in power industry and chemical industry.It will be an important way to test material’s creep properties and evaluate the residual life time of in-services components in the future.Aimed at presently existed issues of SPC testing, the research has focused on three aspects. Firstly,it’s basic theory.Based on Charkarabarty membrane model,the relationship between the displacement and creep strain of SPC specimen center point was deduced, also was the relationship between the creep stress and the experimental loads. Secondly, several small punch creep testes under different loads were performed,and tensile creep testes was also performed.Based on experimental results,the Norton creep parameters were derived.Then compare The results from small punch creep test and tensile creep test,a new method only based small punch creep test was put forward.At last,the small punch creep test and rupture test of 1.25Cr0.5MoSi material were performed,the residual life evaluation model from both SPCT and tensile creep test were derived.Such conclusions are shown as follows.1.The method of evaluating material’s creep properties based on small punch creep test was put forward,and the experimental results proved that it was as same as tensile creep test.2.The creep displacement curves and creep strain curves of P91 material was derived from small punch test,and the Norton creep parameters were derived from both small punch test and tensile creep test.It proved that was possible to determinate creep parameters by small punch test.3.The residual life evaluation model was derived by small punch creep test and tensile creep test.The results proved that the small punch creep test can be used to evaluate the residual life time.
