In this paper, In view of stud welding quality issues in application of medium carbon heat treated high strength steel, combined with induction welding robot technology and compound heat source technology, Design and optimize welding robot workstation, on the basis of the research above, modified the robot head of stud welding robot workstation to establish the aim to stud position and accessibility in induction application.Using servo system and three jaw cylinder body structure can realization the requirements which stud welding different position of vehicle structure, at the same time, because of Design and optimize welding robot workstation, carry out the process test utilization the new design and optimize welding robot workstation. And design experiment of acoustic emission detection with the high strength steel two-dimensional structureIn this paper, focus on four type of commonly used high strength steel:685、675、616、 603, using automatic stud welding carry out the process test. At same time according to the heavy vehicle application problems, Design and make the impact toughness experiment. The results show that the new designed hybrid heat source welding robot workstation have a good manifestation and the welded joint have excellent forming, the welded joint quality and welding efficiency have good manifestations. In view of stud welding quality issues in application of medium carbon heat treated high strength steel, medium carbon heat treated high strength steel microstructure and residual stress has been analyzed in compound heat source stud welding and arc stud welding. At the same time, designing a set of cabinet structure to simulate binding state confirmed the result of experiment by acoustic emission. The results show that:The compound heat source stud welding can effectively eliminated residual stress in, and under condition of stress, the compound heat source stud welding can effectively eliminated time-lagging crackle that happened in arc stud welding.
