Manganese is one of the most important mineral resources with economic value in China. Manganese oxide accounts for 34.5% of the ore resources. With average grade of manganese 24.56%, most manganese oxide ore contain a large number of primary slime and oxidized ore on its surface, but clay containing is relatively large, so the loss of manganese ore process is significant. There are large amount of waste manganese mud in the ore factory, which is a serious waste of resource. In this research, wet leaching and inorganic chemical recovery method is mainly used to comprehensive utilization study of fine particles of manganese oxide ore.Manganese sulfate and manganese carbonate is the most basic products in manganese industry with great demand, manganese sulfate and manganese carbonate are mostly use Rhodochrosite and Pyrolusite as the raw material. This study used raw material from Guangxi Daxin Manganese Mine, revealed the effects of the reduction leaching of manganese oxide in the optimum conditions, the leaching mechanism were also discussed. And also have carried out a series of purification experiments for the leaching solution. This research is pioneering and novelty. In the research process, we use micro-fine manganese oxide as the oxidant, sulfuric acid solution for medium, SO2 leaching reductant for micro-fine manganese oxide of manganese. By examining the amount of sulfuric acid, leaching time, liquid-solid ratio, reaction temperature, stirring intensity and leaching cycle times. The optimum leaching condition are as follows: the concentration of sulfuric acid solution of 0.46 mol/L, leaching for 80 min, liquid solid ratio of 4:1, temperature 40℃, stirring speed 300r/min, less than five times of cycles of leaching, the velocity of SO2 of 0.2 L/min. The final oxidation of manganese ore leaching rate is more than 95%.H2O2 were used as the oxidant to oxidize all the Fe2+ in the leaching solution, by using ammonia to adjust the p H. The removal rate of Fe can reach to 100%. By evaporating the solution of manganese sulfate to get the product of manganese sulfate. Used bicarbonate as the precipitant to precipate Mn2+, and the precipitate rate is 99.8%. The manganese sulfate were produced after reaction of manganese carbonate and sulfuric acid. And ammonium sulfate were got by evaporating the mother liquor(after precipitate manganese). All the products can meet the first grade of chemical industry standard.
