The filtering performance iron slag of nickel electrolysis system of Jinchuan company is poor, contains a large number of heavy metals such as copper, nickel. But the current treatment technology is adopted dissolution and reprecipitation method, Convert a iron slag into sodium jarosite. But still contains a large amount of copper and nickel in sodium jarosite. And recovery of copper and nickel. But after processing, iron still contains much more copper and nickel. It belong to the hazardous solid waste. This part of iron slag should be sent to nickel fire system processing. This causes the waste of resources and energy. Therefore need to develop a new craft that can make the processing of secondary iron slag of copper nickel content up to standard. And the slag reaches the standard of ordinary solid waste and emission.This paper designs selective ammonia solution leaching and selective acid-leaching method to deal with iron slag. According to the experimental results, adopting selective acid leaching process can achieve the goals.In the experimental process, we discover the iron slag can be divided into normal batch what can be easy to deal with and abnormal batch what cannot be easy to deal to with. We found the normal batch are mainly for the sodium jarosite. Abnormal batch are mainly for the Fe (OH) 3,FeCO3 and sodium jarosite. So take the selective leaching craft after oxidation. Only dissolve Cu, Ni and Fe (OH) 3 in the iron slag. Without stripping the sodium jarosite existing.This process eventually adopts mixed acid of HCl:H2SO4=1:1 to dissolve the iron slag. We control pH=1.0-1.4, and add a certain amount of Na2SO,4, in more than 85 ℃, react 6-12h, bring all Fe3+ into sodium jarosite, and achieve comprehensive recovery of nickel and copper. Make the Ni≤0.3%; Cu≤0.3% in secondary iron slag. In addition to reduces the acid consumption, also saves the consumption of sodium carbonate. The method also can be an enrichment of arsenic in iron slag. It can reduce the pollution of the environment. Taking the leaching toxicity test of secondary iron slag. The results show that after processing the secondary iron slag has reached the standard of ordinary solid waste, can direct emissions.
