Color prediction model as the theoretical basis and important component of the implementation of color management has been applied to color printing quality management control system. By the parameter adjustment one can achieve the color forecast and feedback control of image quality. To truly achieve the faithful color copy one should quantitative the factors affecting in the process of print color which are the technical basis to adjust the printing facility. Fundamentally understand the coloration mechanism of printing image is the key to prediction accuracy. However, the complexity of the print ink dot shape and structure of the paper makes the existing most advanced Clapper-Yule color prediction model still reveal its shortage as the predicted value is lower than the experimental measurement data.Based on probability function describing the light interacts with the microscopic characteristics of the printing image, this paper mainly built and discuss the mechanism and the factors affecting the printing image coloration. First of all, this paper established the color printing image prediction model accounting the impact of light scattering. The discussions and the process of modeling about ink penetration is equivalent to the influence with the change of photon diffusion probability function. By introduction of the concept of binary tree in the computer science, the multiple internal reflection is considered and also developed to the traversal of the tree. Moreover, with the introduction of new weighting factor p which is function of paper characteristic and the line-screen level, the new color prediction model is presented. The general spectral prediction model is presented and the connection with previous model is also presented. By numerical simulation analysis via Matlab of the ink penetration, multiple internal reflection effect on accuracy of printing color prediction are verified theoretically in the article experimental design part which meet the expectation. The summary of this paper is given with notion of the future work. | Keywords/Search Tags: | probabilistic model, dot gain, ink penetration, multiple internal reflection, color prediction | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
