In the process of printing reproduction, color separation technology has been the key link. It’s thecolor separation technology’s main content that how to conversion the space color information tothe color value for the color equipment or color materials which can be identified by printing device,to reproduce the closest color to the target color. Color separation algorithm is always the hot spotof the color separation technology.This paper take color separation technology of digital printing in the printing and dyeingindustry reproduction as the research object, to solve the existing bottleneck problems includingcolor separation accuracy, color deviation, color repeatability and so on. This paper builds a set oftests and samples, which is applied to the search for the relationship between with half tone, theprimary color spectrum and the mixed color spectrum, through the investigation and analysis of thetechnological process of digital printing, process control parameters and stability of the digital inkjet process. Then the spectrum distribution of color mixed with different dot percentage, the initialvalue of the dot, the deviation between the theoretical spectrum calculated by the model and thetarget spectrum can be calculated by using the relational model has been established. Finally thespectral color separation algorithm which can be used in practical production is obtained.The results show that the technical method and the color separation algorithm proposed in thispaper has realized the spectrum separation and the color separation accuracy and feasibility is high,which can satisfy the actual production needs of current digital printing. This is a good lead andguide for the perfection of digital printing technology and the digitalization of production processes.
