| The water resources crisis problem has appeared with the deterioration of water quality of China’s rivers and lakes. In the request of sustainable development, green GDP, ecological compensation, the further study on environmental value of water quality improvement is necessary. This will provide the references for environmental policy and the feasibility of the project on the water quality.This study give a comprehensive research on the value of water quality improvement of in our country through using meta analysis method, and give the qualitative and quantitative evaluation on the value of water quality improvement. Based on previous studies, we determine the factors of willingness to pay on water quality improvement. We use a large number of second-hand data as data source to make a multiple linear regression analysis. We get a meta regression model and compare it with the similar study in the United States. Next, we use the meta regression model to evaluate the value of the water quality’s improvement of Dianchi and Erhai. Besides, we use the evaluations to verify the meta regression model.At last, We can know that the willingness to pay for the water quality improvement is related to the level of water quality improved, the social and economic characteristics of research groups, the research characteristics, study method, study site, study quality, the WTP questions guide format, response ratio, evaluation method, the time of the study, sample size etc. In addition, the meta regression concluded from this study have validity in some extent, and it can provide references for cost-benefit analysis and policy’s effectiveness on water quality improvement. |
