This paper is from the technological transformation project of the new 180m2 sintering in Fushun Newsteel Co. Ltd. in 2012. The paper analyzes the application of control technology in sintering process, introduces the development and present situation of technology of sintering control at home and abroad. This paper combining with the actual process of Fushun Newsteel 180m2 sintering, a detailed analysis of four processes in the sintering:material preparation and feeding process, batching and mixing granulation process, sintering and cooling process, screening and finished process, and summarizes the characteristics of Fushun Newsteel 180m2 sintering process.The paper detailed introduces the Fushun Newsteel 180m2 sintering machine overall functional requirements. According to the requirements, I design the overall design of the control system, and determine the hardware of the control system. Design the hardware and network configuration of level 1 control system, and introduce the design of the level 2 control system components and network configuration briefly. According to the hardware of the level 1 control system, I detailed design of the software configuration. Research and analyze the control principle and control method of the control system. Introduce the process of the human-machine interface design simply.Combined with the project of Fushun Newsteel 180m2 sintering, the paper designs the forecasting model of burning through point (BTP). According to the needs of production and to improve the level of automation of sintering production, design the fuzzy controller model of the BTP, and used in the sintering production practice. It improves the stability of the BTP and the yield and quality of sinter.
