In recent years, with the rapid development of communication technology, as well as the improvement of network coverage, communication bottleneck restricting the construction of digital oilfield has been broken. The realization of high speed, and large amount of data communication, is no longer a problem. Depends on the use of Ethernet, the construction in digital communications of the oil field is aimed at the Ethernet.Oil well monitoring is mainly divided into two parts. One is the video monitoring. The monitoring equipment is same as the road traffic video monitoring. Its technology is mature, so there is no technical bottlenecks. The other is running status monitoring, which is the special equipment to monitor in oil field. There is no mature product available for use, also no the protocol standard. At present, TCP- MODBUS protocol is used in the most oil fields, which requires the equipment to achieve at least IP protocol, TCP protocol, MODBUS-TCP protocol and ARP, ICMP, etc.There are two main realization method used by existing products. 1. Using the Linux operating system, and its existing TCP/IP protocol stack; 2. Using a serial port to turn into Ethernet communication module.The two schemes are not ideal. Linux operating system is not a real-time operating system, therefore it does not meet the requirements of oilfield in real-time. The stability, reliability and communication rate and Ethernet configuration flexibility of using a serial port to turn into Ethernet module to achieve the Ethernet communication, is difficult or even unable to meet the actual needs. in 2013, Oilfield A11 working group has been specifically prohibited to use equipment by embedding a serial port turn Ethernet module to realize the design of Ethernet communication in the construction of oil field. If once discovered, the oilfield will be disqualified from participating directly.Therefore, obtaining a real-time operating system under the TCP/IP protocol stack is extremely urgent.
