With the development of rolling technology, the requirement of analysis and calculation of rolling process is higher and higher. To meet the actual requirement to be more precisely and more quickly, with the aid of modeling of coupling calculation of velocity field and temperature field of work piece given before, we put forward a modified way to solve the optimization problem of the above modeling. The main content is as follows:(1) Firstly, equation of heat conduction was regarded as constrained condition, and then the new Lagrange function in rolling process was structured.(2) With the idea of conjugate gradient method, by changing the form of dk, a "modified conjugate gradient method" was raised, after that, we got some properties of this modified algorithm, at last, by adapting the restart strategy, so that a new optimization algorithm which is of n-quadratic convergence was gotten.(3) By putting the function we got before into our "modified conjugate gradient method" to conduct the optimization calculation. And then we make a comparison of the number of iterations, time of calculation, and relative error of the rolling force between this time and last times, the conclusion is that this "modified conjugate gradient method" is remarkable from various aspects mentioned before.(4) Through the comprehension evaluation model, a conclusion was raised that our algorithm is full of practical significance.
