Recently, coal mine safety monitoring system is mainly operated by wire to achieve parameter monitoring and information transfer. Once the wired network goes wrong,mine production safety will be under threat. Therefore, communication technology with high efficiency, reliability, strong adaptability, high transmission speed is need urgently.The present study firstly introduced the wireless communication technology and the development status of underground communication both at home and abroad. By analyzing and comparing the transmission characteristics of the mine and rock structure of the underground tunnel, a mine emergency communication system, which based on Ethernet and WSN wireless sensor network technology, was put forward. And then, the detailed analysis concerning the characteristics of wireless sensor network, node structure and network hierarchy was carried out. What’s more, the coverage control technology and network communication protocol of WSN were introduced step by step. Meanwhile,the Ethernet-WSN-Ethernet wireless emergency communication system was constructed.Finally, the underground data transmission and fusion were analyzed. In addition, the present research also proposed batched-estimation data fusion algorithm. And the result of simulation showed that the algorithm can greatly reduce data redundancy. It is more suitable for the requirements of emergency communication system in the underground.Besides, a fast and efficient data transmission protocol, which is called P-GRID protocol,was designed. It was proved that this protocol can extend the network life cycle and save the overall network energy consumption.The purpose of the subject is to study and propose mine emergency communication system on the basis of Ethernet and WSN data transmission for improving the efficiency of rescue through the analysis of underground tunnel.
