Thermal assembled backup Roll of Cold Rolling Mill is a new type of forging steel backup roller. It is not used more widely than usual, but the roller with good toughness,high hardness and endurance against grinding is not easy to break, so it has a good comprehensive mechanical properties. As the roll core under small stress can be repeatedly used, it can save a lot of money of buying rollers. The research of cold rolling combined backup roll in our country is only just beginning and the application of combined backup roll mainly is premised on the empirical data of unitary backup roll. While there is a lack of in-depth theoretical research on the influence of thermal assembled technical parameter, cold rolling technical parameter and equipment parameter on contact fatigue and fretting fatigue of combined backup roll. In this paper, we took the 1220 cold rolling league unit of Shanghai Baosteel Group as the background and typical specifications strip as an example, basic research contents are as follows:First of all, with the help of finite element software Abaqus, we will establish two-dimension and three-dimensional model simulation. So we can obtain the distribution of stress and strain of combined backup roll and compare the influence of thickness of roll sheath, rolling force, bending force, friction coefficient and magnitude of interference on stress and strain.Secondly, we will extracted the displacement of assembled surface of roll sleeve and roll core from Abaqus. So we can obtain the relative amount of slipping, the relative trajectory of slipping and the frictional work of corresponding node. Also we will predict the position of fretting fatigue crack with G parameter.Thirdly, we will establish the model of calculating rolling contact fatigue life and fretting fatigue life of combined backup roll with the local stress-strain method.Finaly, we will calculate the fatigue life of the combined backup roll with fatigue analysis software Fe-Safe and the result of stress and strain calculated by Abaqus.
