Due to the increasingly serious environmental problems and the strict environmental protection standards executed, how to reduce the high temperature flue gas emissions pollution to the environment and improving the air quality more and more become a hot topic of concern to society. Therefore, the studies of high temperature filter material are getting more and more attention by the society. The purpose of this paper is to research and develop a new type and high efficiency composite high temperature filter material,which can be used to filter the high temperature flue gas. And master the optimal preparation process of this kind filter material for guiding the production.Through the exploration experiment, respectively, it can be known that basalt fiber will be deposited in the clothing for the carding process, and it is hard into the fiber web or the fiber web is discontinuity and poor uniformity. The glass fiber web is continuous and uniform. So, consideration of the two kinds of fibers with similar performance in this topic, glass fiber with different weight percentages mingle with basalt fiber in order to change the network performance of basalt fiber, after that, the mixture goes through the processes of opening, carding, cross-lapping,pre-needling, needling to produce basalt/glass fiber high temperature resistant needled filter material, and the uniformity of basalt fiber/glass fiber web was studied. When the proportions for two kind of fiber are 50%, respectively, the CV value of web is 10.9% after measured by sampling and weighing method.In order to study on the optimal preparation technology of basalt/glass fiber high temperature needled filter material, four parameters of fibrous composition, acupuncture frequency, federate, lapping layer were chosen to carry on four factor four level orthogonal experiment. With helps of fluorescence microscope, fabric strength testing instrument, the comprehensive performance of filter test rig, the structure, mechanical properties, filtration properties of basalt/glass fiber high temperature needled filter material were characterized and analyzed. Finally, the optimal preparation process of filter material was confirmed. The experimental results show that: ① the strength of filter material is low, it could be added for substrate before or post-processed after processing to enhance the strength of filtering material. ② in the preparation process, when the significant level α is 0.05, fibrous composition and lapping layer have significant effect to longitudinal and transverse rupture strength of filter material. Four factors have no significant effect to filtering efficiency filter material. ③ the optimal preparation process of basalt/glass fiber high temperature resistance needled filter material are that the fibrous composition of basalt fiber and glass fiber is 70/30, the acupuncture frequency is 440 time/min, the federate is 1.45m/min and the lapping layers are 14 layers. According to the optimal process, the longitudinal rupture strength of basalt fiber composite filter material is 9.8 N and transverse rupture strength is 15.4 N, its filtration efficiency is 88.76%.Weight of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% carbon fiber were added to the optimal preparation process in order to studied on the filtering performance, mechanical properties and antistatic performance of filter material. The results show that: ① the function that carbon fiber content affected on the tensile strength of filter material is small or absent, and it’s no influence on filtering efficiency. ② 4% is a very important quantity, the evanescent voltage of basalt/glass fiber filter material decayed to 115.3V, and the electrostatic half-life is 0.938 s, at this moment, the antistatic performance of basalt/glass fiber high temperature resistance needled filter material is the best.
