The continuous severe transverse vibration of console-model friction hoisting rope, not only affects the life of the hoisting rope and lifting equipments, but also affects the stability and security performance of mining hoist system. Thus, the hoist rope string of Yao Qiao(Main Well 2#) in Datun Coal and Electricity Company is selected as the research object, and theory, simulation and experimental tests are combined to investigate the transverse vibration systematically, which could ensure the safe and reliable operation of hoist system of this mine and provide theoretical basis and technical experience to some extent.Firstly, the hoisting rope transverse vibration model based on continuous distribution of continuous parameter model and Hamilton theory was established, and the using of Galerkin truncation method for numerical solutions. Numerical simulation analysis of hoisting rope transverse vibration were done respectively under different working conditions. By the numerical calculating with the field experiment tests, the results show that the model and it’s calculating methods are reasonable and the model could be used to investigate the transverse vibration.Secondly, simulation model of string vibration was established based on multi-body dynamics software ADAMS. Considering simulation accuracy and simulation time, the simulation division of hoisting rope are discussed based on catenary theory. According to above analysis of string vibration excitation sources, the model was simulated with different exciting expression and it was verified combined with the on-site experiment and test data.Thirdly, the hoist scene dynamic testing scheme were analyzed and studied, and test results are analyzed and treatment, and analysis of testing data was done. Through handling test data we reached the conclusion that the string vibration took on obvious beating phenomenon and the head sheave deflection, string tension and hoist speed were the main factors of string vibration.In the end, according to the theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental results, and considering reducing the amplitude of the strings vibration, dynamic monitoring system and installation scheme were designed. Considering the impact of the hoisting rope tension on the string vibration frequency, maintain rope modulator regularly to ensure the hoisting rope tension is balanced.
