Energy is the material basis for human’s survival, the energy consumption structure not only reflect the degree of social civilization, but also have a major impact on the natural environment of human’s survival. The clean and reliable liquefied natural gas(LNG) energy is more and more popular in the human’s daily life. In the process of LNG, The stable and reliable operation of the absorption tower is very important. Thus, This paper mainly aims at the process control of LNG absorption tower in the decarburization system. In this paper, the main ideas are described as follows.Firstly, the main application of the LNG is informed, and then combined with the production process of LNG, the specific requirements for the process control of the absorption tower in the LNG decarburization system are given.Secondly, according to liquid level and flow control problem of absorption tower in decarburization system, a detailed improvement is proposed and then various detection instruments are selected. The Siemens PCS7 control system and the hardware system are designed. In order to improve the informatization level of liquefied natural gas field, the GPRS DTU module for remote data acquisition is used. Finally, the software of the system is designed including the program and the human-machine interface(HMI). Not only does the program include the basic control function, it involves a serial of the protected measures; The HMI provides an operation platform for the workers and guarantees the technicians and maintenance staffs monitor the change of the various parameters in the process of production. Thus, the safety and reliability of the system improve.
