The hydraulic die counter-blow hammer is the best replacement of die anvil hammer due to its advantages of high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection. It’s also the development direction of hammer forging equipment. The development and spread of fully hydraulic die counter-blow hammer will not bring beneficial results of economy but of society to countries and companies. Our country present hammers mostly are steam hammers and liquid air hammers, for the study of fully hydraulic die counter-blow hammer is still relatively small. With the development of China’s social development of science and technology, industry, national defense, aerospace and other equipment manufacturing industry to reduce production costs, reduce product weight, improve products’ performance and the quality of the increasingly high demand, it means that the stress of forging production will be unprecedented increased. So the design and development of new fully hydraulic die counter-blow hammer, to improve the working performance of forging quality, production capacity and the degree of automation, is of the vital significance.Based on the studying of the operational principle and the structure characteristics of counter-blow hammer, the purpose of this paper is to design the structure and calculate the size of the fully hydraulic die counter-blow hammer of 75 k J, to establish the 3D model of it with the drawing software UG7.0, to analyze its body frame and hammer rod with finite element software ANSYS11.0. Then the hammer body’s distributions of the stress and displacement under static and dynamic load and its dynamic characteristics are obtained by means of static analysis, modal analysis and transient analysis. So are the hammer rod’s distributions of the stress and displacement under dynamic load by means of transient analysis. The results of the analysis provide some effective theory evidence to modify the structure of the hammer body and the connection pattern between the hammer and its rod. There is also academic significance and application value of the results.
