The front and rear housing are the main structure body parts of automobile vacuum booster. Different from the ordinary stamping parts production and processing, Booster housing needs to be incrementally formed through several times of stamping and drawing. And because of its high dimensional precision, complex shape, strict requirements on the strength and fatigue life. So it is necessary to do the thorough system research of the Booster housing stamping process.Based on the request of automobile vacuum booster production, several researches on numerical simulation of deep drawing process route and the mould structure design simulation were launched for Booster rear housing stamping forming. Describes the theoretical basis of numerical simulation of rear housing stamping, elaborate on the yield criterion of elastic-plastic materials and its constitutive relationship, and from the aspects of finite element theory of numerical simulation process, the selection of unit type, algorithms of the nonlinear finite element simulation control equations and the frictional contact problems treatment for systematical instruction. Through the study on theory of plastic forming of sheet metal, summarize the design requirements such as stamping direction, binder surface, process compensation, positioning in the rear housing stamping process, analyze the product characteristic of rear housing and complete its stamping process route configuration. Based on the numerical simulation analysis of the Booster rear housing stamping forming process by AutoForm software, predict the key factors affecting the quality of parts forming, through the reasonable selection of process parameters and design the process compensation hole, to achieve the purpose of process optimization. According to the process route to complete the mould structure design, make static analysis and modal analysis of mould with ANSYS software, complete the optimization of mould structure simulation, carry out the mould processing production experiment under the precondition of design satisfies the requirement of stamping. Through research and analysis on the mould of the practical problems in trial run, elaborate the main defects in the stamping process and improvement action, for the future of other products, stamping forming process arrangement and mould design for Booster housing has positive reference significance.
