The kinetic-based analytical methods has been studied on and the trace Fe and Ag in pure Lithium Carbonate has been determinated with a kinetic spectrophotometric method in this thesis. First,the speciality ,classification and singnificance of kinetic-based analytical methods ,and kinetic spectrophotometric methods ,and the fundmentals in regard to these methods are discussed.The investigate actuality and development direction of kinetic spectrophotometric methods also has been described .The development of photometry in china from 1999-2001 has been reviewed in the part one and part two. Then, the trace Fe and Ag in pure Lithium Carbonate has been determinated with a kinetic spectrophotometric method. Based on catalytic effect of Fe on oxidizing decolorization of Fuchsin basic by H202 in a medium of NH3 H20 , a new method has been developed for the detennination of trace Fe in pure Lithium carbonate by catalytic kinetic spectyophotometry The optimal condition of the method has been studied .the detection limit and liner range are 3.2 X i0~ molIL and 0-2.0 ugI2Sml .The method has been applied to the determination of trace Fe in pure Lithium carbonate with satisfactory result . The results obtained are in good agreement with extraction-AAS .The recorery is 97.5-106%. A kinetic spectrophotometric method has been described for the determination of trace Ag in pure Lithium carbonate ,based on its catalytic effect on the oxidization of Mn( II) to Mn( VII) by (NI-14)2S208 .In a medium of H3P04 ,the effect of 30 ions has been studied and it has been found that many ions do not interfere .The method is simple and the results are satisfactory. A new catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric methods for the determination of trace Ag was studied .The method is based on the Ag( I ) catalyzed the reaction of Fe(CN)6 with 2,2?dipy in HAc-NaAc buffer at pH3.O ,the reaction time only needs 5 mm .The sensitivity and liner range are 1.2 X 106 LmoVm?and O-0.O8ugIml .The method has been applied to thedetermination of trace Ag in water and pure Lithium carbonate with satisfactory result.
