Although the water resources in China are rich, the proportion of water per hand is only 1/4 of the world抯 average because of the large population. With the development of economic and population, the problem of water pollution is getting more and more serious. Up to now in China, more than 90% of the domestic sewage is discharged directly to water without any treatment; only approximately 87% of the industrial wastewater is treated undergoing preventive process. In some area, political and economical problems caused by pollution and lacks of water have been the most difficult issue to handle. It is very important and urgent for authorities to reinforce the regulation of water pollution control (WPC) and increase the investment of water pollution treatment. Domestic sewage is noticed for its?great quantity and wild discharge, at the same time, we cannot neglect the treatment of industrial wastewater. It is difficult and costly to treat the industrial wastewater for its?complicated ingredients. It is necessary for us to develop more efficient technologies for it. Wastewater of safe powder factory contains various kinds of inorganic matters, concentrated of salt and COD. Up to now, there is little report about the treatment of this kind of wastewater. As a matter of fact, the wastewater has polluted the environment seriously as the factory managers discharged the wastewater only with dilution and even no treatment. As the wastewater has restricted the development of factory, the wastewater treatment is of importance and solving the problem is of high value. On the basis of the similar wastewater treatment, this paper presents a practicable new method of the wastewater treatment after a serial of experiments. The optimized results were as follows: flocculants with PAC I 5mg/L and PAM 4mg/L after predefecation, add 0.75% oxydol I OmlIL, active carbon 2.5 g/L, ferrous sulfate 1 5OmgIL and copper sulphate 2mgIL, catalytic oxidation reaction for 7 hours under stir, the removal of COD was found to be 92.6%, with a running cost of 1.1 258YuanIt. Comparatively, some other flocculant and oxidant were studied in this article. In a conclusion, this new method is fit for the wastewater treatment of safe powder factory.
