| Among those special contaminants from coal burning, the emission of the hydrochloric compound, one of bio-contaminants, has already become a new preceding hotspot research field. Owing to their latent harm to the environment, increasing attention of the public was focused on the movement and control discipline of them. At the same time, the pollution problem inevitably caused by coal combustion has also drawn more and more attention of our government at different levels. The study in this paper was focused on the emission and removal of HCI from coal burning, which was generally thought as one of key components of air pollution.The concentrations of chlorine in 41 Chinese coal samples were determined by Eschka-Volhard titration method (GB/T3558-1996), in order to build a national database for chlorine of all kinds of coals for the future research, and study existing forms of chlorine and the emission discipline of hydrochloric compound of raw coals. Negative relationships were obtained by carrying out studies on the relationship between chlorine content, rank, alkali metal content, and finally the relationships were summarized among the distribution of chlorine in raw coal, coal types, producing area and coal ingredients.In the research of HCI emission in coal combustion process, a national standard coal was applied to combust in a quartz tube with an electrically heated furnace. After comparing a Model 722 sctrophotometer and a Dionex Model 100 Ion Chromatograph to measure the concentration of Cl" in the solution, Ion Chromatographis was adopted in our study. In addition, some effect factors of remaining time, furnace temperature and oxygen concentration, on HCI emission in coal combustion process were studied.A series of standards were established for Sampling and Analyzing the flue gas according to the methods and rules adopted by others, in order to determine the HCI concentration in the final incineration products correctly, efficiently and conveniently. The analyzing results of gaseous HCI content in the fume of some pilot scale incinerators were also included in this paper.In order to carry out our study on the behavior of HCI in the furnace in the next period easily, the current situation of HCI research was reviewed, the development trend was discussed, and some suggestions were was proposed in the end in this paper. |
