| In Panzhihua-Xichang area, there is as much as 870 million ton TiO2 associated with the magnetite containing vanadium and titanium, which accounts for about 97.54% of all the titanium resources of our country or about 37.02% of those of the world. Half of the TiO2 enters into the magnetic separation tailing after concentrating iron, which has been effectively reused, but the other half part flows into the smelting circuit with the iron concentrate and is lost as perovskite in the slag, which is still non-used. If this part of Ti02 can be reused economically and effectively, the titanium industry's development of our country, even of the world will be greatly accelerated.Many mining technicians have made great efforts to recover perovskite from Pangang slag. According to the properties of Pangang slag, in this paper, pre-treating was applied to modify ore's surface, and then the flotation was used to collect the perovskite. After pre-treating by the mixed reagent-Hc and one rough flotation( the agent dosage was: sodium silicate 2500g/t, carloxy methyl cellulose 100g/t, hydroximic acid 700g/t, turpentine 20g/t), the concentrate containing 30-31% TiO2 with a recovery of 33-35% can be obtained. If adopting the closed circuit as 'grinding-pre-treating-one roughing, three concentratings and two scavengings-concentrate re-grinding-another pre-treating-another 'one roughing, three concentratings and two scavengings", the titanium concentrate containing 40.33% TiCfe with a recovery of 30.02% can be received. On this foundation, increasing the concentration to four times, i.e. utilizing the closed circuit as "grinding-pre-treating -one roughing, four concentratings and two scavengings-concentrate re-grinding-another pre-treating-another 'one roughing, four concentratings and two scavengings", the concentrate index can be continuously raised up to TiO2 grade 43.01% and TiO2 recovery 29.89%. Besides these, some exploratory experiments aiming at optimizing the separation circuit were also conducted. In paper's last part, the difficulties in recovering perovskite from Pangang slag were analyzed, and thenthe reason why He's pre-treating bettered the perovskite flotation was pointed out: He can selectively resolve the ore surface's Ca2+, which greatly weakened the depression that perovskite suffered, however, the depression that the gangue suffered was still fairly strong, so the floatability difference between the perovskite and gangue was expanded.There are about 44,000 words with 21 figures and 40 tables in this paper. |
