Understanding exactly of apparel ratio series conception is the base of accepting of ratio grading. Since the existing apparel model standard can be made use of so many years in clothing field, there must be reasons and superiorities with it. But there are shortcomings as well. As an example, apparel pattern-grading operation become very complex with too many experience and lack of inherent rules. So in many years, the pattern grading operation is always the thing that only experienced worker can do, accordingly the rapidity of develop and exchange of grading technique are limited, too. On the other hand, the ratio grading method theory is a rule that everyone knows in mathematics field, though it is a new grading conception apparel field. The resistances of this method applying to apparel pattern grading are from inertia thinking and tradition conservative idea. So the research of this project is a attempt by which arouse apparel field people transposable thought, one innovative thought.
