Study Of Contemporary Chinese Environmental Protection Policy

Man's subsistence and development is based on environment. Once one nation's environment is ruined, riot only people's living, but the nation's prosperity and stabilization will be threatened fundamentally.From 1950S TO 1970S, due to population explosion, increase of extensive economy and disregard for environment, China's environment headed for deterioration. Under the Push of international environmental Protection movement, China's environmental Protection Policy (以下简称 E.P.P) emerged. But because of the existence of adverse political, economic, and cultural factors, the Policy's execution was not favorable, at the beginning. At the late 1970s an early 1980s, Under Reform and open's new situation, the Policy's development drived into level road , formed strategic principle and institutional frame suitable for China's condition, and builded basis for China's E.P.P. In the 1990s, China began to enforce Continuous Development Tragedy, which gave E.P.P powerful driving, made its content extended, status and action in creasingly raised.Under the circumstance of Population and economy growing rapidly. E.P.P's practice helps China avoid speedy environmental decline, earn obvious environmental mileage and benign political , economic and cultural mileage, becomes one of successful public policy in contemporary China. However due to many adverse factors and drawbacks during the policy's practice, environmental situation of China is deteriorating. So, China's E.E.P need strengthen executive force, and spread to other pertinent fields further.
