Absorbing material is widely used in domestic and military technologies. Not only the frequency response of electromagnetic parameters of absorbing material must be known in some cases, but also its temperature response.The paper analyzes the usual measurement methods in room temperature, and applies transmission/reflection method to design automatic measurement system. The calibration kit used in high temperatures and transmission lines designed for different functions are fabricated and temperature control system is developed. The test system is built by using transmission lines, calibration kit, and temperature control system. TRL (Thru-Reflection-Line) calibration method is applied to complete system calibration in different temperatures. Automatic test software is complied and absorbing material samples are tested. The temperature response traces of electromagnetic parameters of absorbing materials are obtained. The measurement error is analyzed in this paper. The error sources are defined according to measurement theory and the value of each error source is obtained through experiment or theory analysis. The error calculation formula is given and the measurement errors are computed. The measurement errors of electromagnetic parameters of other materials are simulated.
