Computer-aided Fixture Design

As a important part of CIMS ,Computer Aided Fixture Design can solve problems of tradition machine tool fixture such as long design period, low design efficiency and so on.Therefore,it can increase deign speed,reduce repetition laboring and satisfy rapid and flexible request of modern manufacture system.As a result, increasing competing power of the enterprise.In this thesis, the concept, developing survey, constitution and application at home and a broad of CAD are reviewed,The design of mainframe and every module of the system are introduced in detail, The key techniques during developing are expounded briefly, such as parametric techniques ,secondary-developing techniques of AutoCAD,group techniques and engineering database operating.The application of these techniques in the software is described as well.After a deeply and carefully analyzed and investigated at home and abroad,this paper tries to develop a computer aided fixture design system in the direction of advance and practicability for pressing domain,which taking specialized machine tool fixture as the research object and based on interacteve and retrieval method. The project runs on powerful AutoCAD2000 platform which developed by Autodesk Co. of USA.The mostly function of this system:parameterized part drawing datdbase, parameterized design tools module, constructed fixture graphics database.fixture data management,fixture coding system ,fixture drawing management module,fixture design and calculate and drawing assistance module etc.
