With the development of textile industry, the looms turn to high speed, wider breadth and automatization. The research of loom's automatization and net-oriented has high economic value. In the embedded OS region, Linux is welcome by many producers because Linux has following characters such as easily portability, supporting many different CPU architectures, stability and easily being upgraded and open resource policy. Embedded loom control platform is developed in this background. This platform's aim is integrating different loom control modules into an operating system. It will make the loom control system more agile and functional.This paper is about my research and development work. It's consisted of the following parts:1 The author analysis the status and trend of the domestic and international textile machine. And several current loom control systems' characteristic is compared.2 The author compares several popular embedded OS and embedded microprocessors, and chooses the uClinux and S3C4510B CPU.3 The uClinux is ported to S3C4510B, and the loom control platform is established.4 The memorizer interface circuit, Ethernet interface circuit and JTAG debug interface circuit are described. And the principle of JTAG is analyzed.5 The author designs the platform's interface module and input/output module. The input/output modules connect each other in series by parallel bus. It is used to control loom.6 The weave principle of rapier loom is analyzed. The author introduced the function of the rapier loom control module and the devices on loom. The rapier loom's control program is written.7 The communication protocol between Human Machine Interface (HMI) and platform is analyzed in detail. The author writes the program to communicate with HMI, and also design the HMI's menu.8 A Webserver is established in uClinux. The author designs the dynamic Web and CGI program. It realizes the remote monitor.
