Flocculant To Treat Wastewater Containing Emulsified Oil

This paper addresses emulsion wastewater treatment in mechanical processing industries theoretically and practically. On the base of comparison of the current status of emulsion wastewater treatment both at home and abroad, various flocculants and their built ways have been studied. As a result, a new kind of built flocculants (APP) and its optimum operation conditions have been obtained through experiments. Through study and analysis, it is concluded that home-made demulsification flocculants (APP) is a very effective treatment agent of emulsion wastewater. It plays a role of both demulsification agent and flocculants agent. Under favorable operation conditions, the removal ratio of COD is above 88.5% better than that of PFC and PAC.In this paper, economical benefit of new built flocculants (APP) in treating emulsions wastewater in mechanical processing industries is also analyzed. The agent cost of treatment of 1 ton of emulsion wastewater is expected to be 0.345 yuan RMB. Thus, this kind of agent is proved to be feasible economically.
