The optimizing design and application of pan continuous drying roaster has been done in this paper from the actual producing needs in Shandong Aluminum Company according to low energy consumption, low cost, short process, stable quality, small area of machines, small operating peoples, low working intensity.From the dried materials' species and producing index, pan continuous drying roaster is selected by analyzing different drying machines species and their applying materials on the basis of the sand materials, continuousrproducing. The roasting function is added in the pan drying process to get rid of crystal water because the materials before drying contain adhesive water and crystal water. Pan continuous drying roaster that gets drying, baking, cooling together is offered in the whole design according to the specie that different drying media can be added into the Pan continuous drying roaster. The intention of cooling is to lower temperature of middle-temperature roasting materials to make packing easy.Optimizing design of material equilibrium, heat equilibrium, the angle of peddles, staying times of materials have been done and these are calculated according to the process of pan continuous drying roaster. On the basis of this, the machine construction is optimized involving the design and selection of driving plane, drying pan and main parts.Finally, the application of pan continuous drying roaster in Shandong Aluminum Company has been analyzed.
