Along with the rapid development of science and technology and the increasingintensity of market competition, users have been demanding higher and higherperformance-cost ratio of product, shorter and shorter cycle time of goods supply. Forthe intense competition in marketplace, only relying on traditional design method andmeans which based on analogy, experience and attempt has already too manyproblems to tackle, had to adopt the advanced modern design theory and designmethods. Along with the rapid development of calculation technology, thecomputational dynamics of multi-body systems unified by the classical mechanicsand the computational technology has emerged, which has provided the theoreticalsupport for the analysis and the simulation of mechanical system dynamics.By investigation of copper anode plate ready units in Yunnan Copper Co. andJinchuan Group Ltd. the crew have discovered the obvious disparity betweenhomemade and imported machine. In order to carry on the digestion and absorption tothe introduction technology and the equipment to innovate again, Researched on thecoupler in the lug milling unit of copper anode plate ready unit introduced fromOutokumpu by the Jinchuan company, based on the theoretical basis of themulti-body system dynamics, in software platform of the mechanical systemdynamics automatic analysis software-ADAMS, this article has carried on the systemdynamics analysis and simulation to the coupler, so as to realize product design basedon the virtual prototype technology in the domestic development process of product,also, a reference pattern for the research and development of similar product has beenprovided.Based on the analysis of milling processing process of the lug linked to thecopper anode plate, by use of milling processing knowledge, this article hascalculated the size of milling strength, and has analyzed the milling force of copperanodes plate when lug in the milling situation by use of the finite element analysissoftware-ANSYS, and then has obtained the largest clamping force of the coupler, byanalysis of the working principle of coupler in the lug milling unit of copper anodeplate, by use of the relevant theories of the multi-body dynamics, this article has carried on the system kinematics analysis to this mechanism, systematicallyestablished kinematics equation of three kind of typical campaign deputy, also, hascarried on the system dynamics analysis to this mechanism, a more comprehensiveanalysis of the DC power of the two typical of generalized movement has been carried.The entity model of the coupler created by the 3D modeling software-Unigraphicswas leaded into the ADAMS by ADAMS/Exchange, adding appropriate restraint andload, a virtual prototyping of the coupler has been created. Through carries on thekinematics simulation and the optimization to the virtual prototyping, the feasibilityand reliability of the motion of the coupler has been confirmed; Through carries onthe reversion dynamics simulation and analysis to the virtual prototyping, someimportant mechanical data of the coupler in the motion process have been obtained,which have provided mechanical basis for the power design and further optimize ofthe coupler, and some suggestions have been made for improvement.
