| L-cysteine is essential amino acids with many biological activities and the L-cysteine residues in many proteins take very important role in life processes. The main biological importance of this amino acid includes antioxidant of the organism, alleviation of the drug poisoning to the human body, improve the immunity of the organism. Recently the research on the modified electrode of self-assembled monolayer (SAMs) of L-cysteine is one of the hot issues in bioelectrochemistry in attempt to understand electrochemistry of the sulfhydryl group, such as catalytic properties to biological important electrochemical reaction.In this research programe, SAMs modified electrode of L-cysteine was prepared and the electrochemical properties of the modified electrode as well as application of this modified electrode to electrochemical detection of biological important molecules have been studies using cyclic voltammetric and striping volvametric method. The determinations of L-cysteine and glutathione using spectrometric methods have also been studied. |
