When using backfill mining method mines depth portion ore-body, the backfill system usually will face some questions, eg stability, reliability, security and so on. Researching the pipeline transportation backfill system characteristic parameters and enhancing the reliability of backfill system have important significance. This article based on the engineering fluid dynamics, statistics, pipeline self-flowing transportation correlation theories and so on, combined the actual situation of west backfill system of Longshou mine in Jinchuan Group Limited Company (shortly, JCC), developly utilized the software of FLOW-3D, systematically studied backfill slurry and pipeline self-flowing transportation characteristic.The chief research results are as follows:1. The article developly utilized software FLOW-3D to carry on numerical simulation and analysis for the operating characteristic of paste self-flowing transportation backfill system under different backfill times of line condition. For thoroughly carried on two-phase fluid pipeline self-flowing transportation theory research to provide new method and measure.2. For JCC backfill material allocated proportion, main backfill material request, backfill quality control and so on has made comprehensive analysis research indicated that when the backfill aggregate proportion is bigger than its critical proportion, the paste backfill slurry is homogeneous fluid, its changing model approximate Bin-hang body and fluid state is structure plunger fluid.3. It has elaborated the paste self-flowing transportation backfill system and the engineering characteristic of full pipe flow transportation, for the numerical simulation results comparative analysing, then educed the new method of decision the most superior backfill times of line value.4. According to the FLOW-3D numerical simulation result, application statistics principle comparative analyzed each backfill times of line, the paste self-flowing transportation backfill system pipeline operating performance, the service life and the reliability. Take economy, security, highly effective as principles, finally had determined the most superior backfill times of line value for JCC west paste self-flowing backfill system under full pipe flow condition. It provided important theory basis for backfill system design.5. This article used the FL0W-3D to simulate pipe system movement characteristic parameters, has effectively made up the shortcoming of backfill system from design to scene industrial test to finally stabilize movement has consume massive manpower, physical resource, financial resource and time. Has direct-viewing and comprehensive understanding regarding the system various parameters to the wholly system movement influence. Also caused the mine backfill system design and operate to develop on digitization and visualization has stepped out one important step.
