As the development of technology, it becomes more and mort important for Arc welding technology in the use of modern industry. Arc welding power supply is the key part of electric welding machine, so its performance directly affects the welding quality. Digital invert arc welding power supply has become the main developing aspect of welding power supply because of its advantages such as good welding performance, quick dynamic respond, small cubage, light weight, high efficiency and intelligent control.The paper researches digital half-bridge invert arc welding power supply based on DSP. First, the main circuit is designed. It includes three phase input rectifier filter circuit, output rectifier filter circuit and half-bridge invert circuit which contains two group CBB capacitors, IGBT and transformer. Second, the control circuit was designed. It is centered by TMS320LF2407A and includes some periphery circuit such as output voltage and current sample circuit, low-input voltage, over-input voltage, over-current and over-heat inhibit circuit, IGBT drive circuit, parameter input circuit, welding voltage and current display circuit and fault display circuit. The software of control system includes PWM generation program, analog to digital convert program, digital PID modulation program, etc.In the end, a serial of static and dynamic experiments are conveyed in the prototype welding machine. The result verifies that the digital invert arc welding power supply can fulfill the request of the design.
