This thesis made a pilot study on modeling tableware products and optimization of machining parameters in NC machining by research on the production status of pulp molded tableware.In the domain of one-off degradable tableware, most manufacturers produce pulp molded tableware. The output of this tableware is the largest in one-off degradable tableware, but high in the production cost. Although many districts have been banned or restricted the use of disposable plastic tableware, but it can not completely wash out the lower cost and easy-to-use plastic tableware. In view of this situation, it is particularly important to reduce the production cost of paper pulp molded tableware and raise market competitiveness. This article made a pilot study on improving efficiency of NC machining in producing the tableware mold.The main work I have done in this thesis is as follows:(1) According to the characteristics of structure of pulp molded tableware , build the feature-based library of pulp molded tableware by virtue of UG/UDF user-defined feature. And it discoursed upon the establishment of the feature-based library, then probed into the rapid parting of this tableware production.(2)Under the environment of the machining center , made a study on the optimization of machining parameters in single pass end milling for machining tableware mold. There it established a mathematical model of optimization parameters, which was in order to raise the efficiency of processing. Then through the study of the process of genetic algorithms, built the machining processes and the calculation steps of optimization parameters.(3) This thesis used Cimatron software to programme NC programming of tableware mold which was the basis of optimization of machining parameters. It discussed the general process of Cimatron programming, and studied on the optimizing the tool path trajectory and mold processing strategy.(4) Respectively optimized machining parameters of the longest procedure when machining dining boxes mold, plates mold and bowls mold, and carried out the machining experiments. By an analysis of the experimental results, it obtained a better effect and increased processing efficiency.
