In this paper, polyethylene glycol thioglycolate was prepared by esterfication. Nano-Ag was prepared by chemical reduction. Based on the previous two steps, the nano-Ag was absorbed by the polyethylene glycol thioglycolate through the deposition. The nano-Ag has better compatibility and more applications by coated with polyethylene glycol thioglycolate. The successful synthesis of polyethylene glycol thioglycolate was indicated through the infrared spectrum of reactant and products. Catalyst, temperature and time effected esterfication. XRD indicated that the nano-Ag prepared were cubic crystals, TEM showed that the small size, spherical nano-Ag modified by polyethylene glycol thioglycolate was obtained. This was useful for nano-silver grafting light-emitting materialsMetal nano-particles were absorbed by polyethylene glycol thioglycolate with M-S bond, effectively reducing the surface energy. The nano-Ag had better compatibility with organic materials. This work opened up a new direction for the use of Nano Silver, and was important to the study of the polymer modification of metal nanoparticles. |
